Dmitry Kisterev graduated from the International Law Faculty of Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) of the RF Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2000.

Joined Klishin & Partners in 1998. In 2002 he was included in the Regional Register of Advocates of Moscow under registration number 77/424.

At present Mr. Kisterev occupies the post of Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of Klishin & Partners Attorneys at Law, Moscow.

Dmitry Kisterev is a highly skilled specialist in the areas of corporate law, civil law, securities operations, anti-trust legislation, civil and arbitration proceedings.

On numerous occasions during his professional career he defended major Russian enterprises in their lawsuits against corporate raiders. He also took part in the preparations for and consummation of complex multi-stage deals in the M&A market, including those involving companies incorporated outside Russia.

For several years Dmitry Kisterev, along with other K&P attorneys, has been rendering competent legal assistance to major enterprises in the Russian energy generation industry, in particular, assistance in connection with the accident at Sayano-Shushenskaya Hydro-Electric Power Station on 17 August 2009.

On 15 April 2004 Mr. Kisterev was elected to the Presidium of Klishin & Partners.
